We are excited to offer an OMRI listed Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (BTI) product to use in conjunction with our Living Soil Bio-Diversity Packs. This product will not harm any beneficial insects or any insects other than mosquito larvae and their relatives including fungus gnat larvae.

The product that we offer is called Aquabac 200g and it is manufactured in the United States, with an OMRI listing.

Application Instructions

Water Application:
This product can be soaked in water at a rate of 4 tablespoons per gallon of water. Allow granules to sit in water for 30 minutes and strain all granules out. Stir or shake product as you evenly apply it with a hand sprayer.

Top Dress: This product can be applied as a top dress at a rate of approximately 1 tablespoon per square foot of container space and water in.

This product is OMRI listed and will be consumed by the soil food web or decompose over time.

Re-apply every 7 to 14 days depending on severity of issue.

Helpful Tips

1. This product works best in conjunction with our living soil bio-diversity packs as they will not adversely affect any of the beneficial organisms in those packs. Our BTI will immediately start incapacitating the fungus gnat larvae as the beneficial organisms grow in populations to be able to take control of the soil food web.

2. We recommend taking a look at your watering practices. In the first two to four weeks depending on the severity of your gnat issues), it is recommended to run your top layer of soil on the drier side to further discourage the gnats from reproduction.

3. Direct some wind across the top of your soil pots to help dry out the top layer and to keep the pressure on the gnats.

Storage

We recommend storing all dry amendments and nutrients in a dry, cool location away from direct sun.

Returns and Replacement

All dry amendments and nutrients are returnable within 14 business days, as long as the container is unopened and packaging is in the same condition as sent.
